Learner autonomy and English proficiency of Indonesian undergraduate students

This research aims at investigating the relationship between learner autonomy including technical, psychological, political, and sociocultural language proficiency of Indonesian university EFL learners. Forty second-year undergraduate students majoring in English a public Indonesia participated this research. The data were collected through questionnaire skills scores. outcome showed that variables model had very good relationship. In addition, results hypothesis testing indicated political positive significant effect on proficiency, while variable did not show either or influence proficiency. finding suggested both teachers should be aware important roles to improve it mandatory equip with training become learners more autonomous.
